6 + 2 Point Deductions

I want to take a poll here:

Do you believe that the clarity of our points deduction now will lead to an improved performance?

Was it really weighing so heavily on the minds of our players?

Will it lead an increase in morale, hence, better results?
We are going to be on fire now

If their breach is worse than ours then they’ll get more.
It has to be, and by miles. It cant just be 6points, but they will no doubt appeal and delay anyone knowing, like we may do on 2nd charge, if it went wrong. Their one is all based pretty much on players and they none stop never stopped spending - add all the wages etc. Ours was a little mix of a few things.

Wonder if its true regarding EPL double jeopardy?

Isn't that just in reference to this one charge though? there's nothing really stopping them from hitting us with an additional deduction which could take the total beyond that nine-point figure, even if it is in the same season..

Hopefully though, common sense will prevail and the second charge only hits us with an additional 2 points (taking it to 8) at the very worst.

You could take any of the £20m's we spent in that time on players like Patterson and interchange them with the £20m stadium loan dispute.

its all wrong, the idea that you can't spend your own money to compete is mental, but all things being equal under the rules part of our losses were player signings, just like Forest.

i agree you should be able to spend it

but forest still did it to a on the field

plus as of city and newcastle spending loads
and chelski and uproar

I've got sympathy for them, but rather them than us obviously
But why?

The club had a transfer net spend of circa £160 million last season alone bringing in about a thousand players and it kept them up. They have a hefty salary bill as well knowing full well about the FFP rules.

Everton's net transfer spend over the past four seasons has been close to zero!

Forest should be hammered in my view as there's no comparison in terms of which team unequivocally gained a sporting advantage.

no not even 2

I don't understand this bit,

They seem to be saying that if a team goes over (£15) then the PL can use powers to refuse player registration if there is not secured funding. We seemed to be ploughing ahead based upon one belief, that we were not in breach, yet the PL were of the opinion that we were in breach, but never told us that we were. If they were so concerned that we were in serious breach, then why didn't they stop us registering players? Unless of course the overspend wasn't due to player purchases and therefore not able to affected by preventing them.

I mean, for a period of time even the PL said we had no case to answer.

Anyway, that's that done now, lets got winning games and actually affecting our own outcome, then put all of this behind us until next December.
