6 + 2 Point Deductions

Honestly can't stand him Mike. A vile vile man

Makes me sick that some of our fans fell for his “dead sound and reasonable, eez a bloo deep down you know lad” act. He absolutely detests us and our fanbase and always has done, that undercurrent has always been there even when he’s been appearing to be on our side. There’s always been an ulterior motive behind it.

No he doesn't.

Calm down.

I thought it would be released on a Friday.

I figured last Friday was before a televised game, so not ideal for the Prem.

Same is true this Friday, given next game is a televised on a Monday night.

But the fact we're all thinking that, and know the Prem League will manage that situation speaks volumes about their motivation.
And I think it also speaks volumes about how a lot of us feel deep down about the outcome

Do you think this guide's us in terms of the outcome?

I thought before an away game made most sense, for your reasoning.

Goodison can get pretty angry for night games. Seems a strange choice to announce before that.

If they uphold the points, they will want to minimise the furore. If they reduce the points, they will want to downplay how they (or the panel) got it wrong.

Taking it from their perspective, it'd be best to do it now because the media will have to focus on the CL and EL/EC games, and many other PL games before us.

It would buy them time to deflect, dampen and eventually sweep under the rug, until the next lot of sanctions, which is going to give them another headache.

The longer it plays out, the less time they have to deal with the next consequence, before the season finishes at the end of June.

If spitty gave a monkeys about Everton he would have had Burnham on sky already, but prob couldn’t if he wanted to as his bosses won’t want that smoke.

He uses Everton when it’s suits his agenda, against city, simples really, like all reds as that’s all the reds care about.

They’ve never gave a toot about us and why would they, apart from probably wanting us to go down/bankrupt - we’re irrelevant to them.

Am I reading too much in to this timeline?

Friday 9th Feb
Apparently the PL were informed of the IC appeal verdict.

Tuesday 13th Feb
Masters does a piece in the Athletic citing COVID and the Ukraine War as to reasons his job was made harder.

Wednesday 14th Feb
Alan Myers and the SKY cameras have been down and shown around the BMD site.

What could we read in to that? All coincidence????
