6 + 2 Point Deductions

Oh dear.

Premier League PSR rules came in for season 13/14. Spurs were granted planning permission in 2011.

2.1 Tottenham Hotspur Football Club were granted planning permission byHaringey Council in 2011 for the redevelopment of White Hart Lane Stadium and the land around it. This scheme was known as the Northumberland ParkDevelopment (NDP) scheme. Phase 1 of the NDP scheme has been completed and comprises the new Sainsbury‟s superstore on NorthumberlandPark Avenue and Lilywhite House which is home to Tottenham UniversityTechnical College and the football club‟s offices.
If I ask politely will you please please DO ONE🖕

The boy could have broken his leg. It's hardly mitigation.
No chance this argument will fly, unless they have written evidence that they had an offer in June on paper that was valid for the entire summer which is unlikely. They rejected brentford in June, then waited until deadline day to sell johnson. The sale could have collapse for any reasons, paper work errors, delays, agent issues, etc...

Do you mean that either the PL or the IC are telling porkies? Shocked, I am.
Nobody is telling porkies, as such, I found it in the report, but its very strange, they reject The Premier Leagues sanction and then impose the exact same sanction.

The guidelines advocated by the Premier League are similar to, but differentfrom, those of the EFL. As with the EFL guidelines they start with apresumption that the appropriate penalty will be a sporting sanction in theform of a deduction of points. They adopt a fixed starting point of a deductionof 6 points. There would be an increase from that starting point of one pointfor every £5 million by which the club had exceeded the PSR threshold of£105 million. Further adjustments could be made to reflect aggravating ormitigating features. The rationale for this view is given in the evidence of MrMasters.88. The Commission recognises the attraction of a regulator imposing astructured formula that was required to be applied in breaches of a particularregulation. Such a structured formula would fully inform clubs of theconsequences of PSR breaches – although that would deny the Commissionthe power, as a specialist tribunal, to approach the question of sanction inwhatever way it considered to be appropriate to the individual case before it.89. Nevertheless, the Commission is concerned that the adoption by it of a28structured formula such as is advocated by the Premier League would beinconsistent with the unrestricted powers conferred by Rules W50&51. Weconsider that it is not for a Commission to introduce such a structured formulaeven on a case by case basis. We consider that we are required by the Rulesto hear and consider the mitigation, after which we have a wide discretion toimpose any of the sanctions listed in Rule W51. If the Premier League wishesto impose a mandatory structured formula on a Commission dealing withPSR breaches, it can do so. In that event the Commission would be requiredto comply with those Rules. But as things stand at present that has not beendone: the Commission has the wide discretion conferred by Rules W50&51.90. We therefore decline to adopt the structured formula proposed by the PremierLeague. We will determine the appropriate sanction according to all thecircumstances of the case, including (as required by Rules W50&51) anymitigating factors.

Sorry for no paragraphs, it doesnt copy well.

Important bits.

Surely to god based on the uncertainty and utter cluelessness they displayed we can't be docked points. This whole scenario is utter bonkers but has real serious consequences. Surely they just need to freeze everything until they get a structure in place. There's far too much at stake
Plus when they admit they got it wrong it will be too late for us

They/he can’t have it both ways.
Masters tries to convince that the IC is truly independent and makes its own decision on sanctions and that’s why there is not a documented(and agreed by all clubs) policy.
However, the PL tried to introduce a policy between charging Everton and hearing the case which was followed to the letter/number…it stinks.

This is what any lawyer worth their salt would be right onto from the start.

It’s speed camera calibration levels of incompetence from the PL

The denial from you is breathtaking. Moshiri has come out and admitted that we had to carry on spending because the midfield was crap. As for Forest the reaction from their fans is totally different. They have in essence put their hands up and know the club broke the rules.
Spending your day on your local rivals forum. Leg it you murdering beaut.

If there is any logic left in the game, we will win the appeal. Last night might turn out to be the darkest night...

Either that or we fold as a club.

Sleep well, Matty.

🙏hoe we can get this sorted and be able to move on as a club again

right now it’s looking like we’re melting away to the footballing abyss

sunderland mark two

I really can't be arsed talking to the RS cockwomble. Can you ask him - does he think that the PL would have punished his team (or the rest of the Sky6) in the same position? Or does he think that it would have been a bit too complicated?
They wouldn’t be punished for anything even in this instance it’s clear blaming Chelsea would come to nothing so special dispensation would have to be applied.

I've been very upset like all blues fans pondering on all this, so do you think someone at the Prem - just wants us relegated ? The new ground is playing its part, I think ....777 will be definitely knocked back if we don't get bailed out by a genuine consortium we are going into administration ....
