6 + 2 Point Deductions

Not really. It’s like being caught doing 90mph and then being caught doing 80mph further up the road when you are trying to slow down.
My auntie got done for that. Got two fines too. Not the best example!

what I just can’t understand (maybe someone can explain it to me?), is how can the club have say there, seen we got investigated and then not decided to ensure beyond doubt that we were ok for the next cycle.
It just seems behind nuts that the club took this chance. Even if you didn’t agree with it, why wouldn’t you make sure it wasn’t an issue?

Bored of this now. Don’t care what any regulations apparently are. In the history of prem football the PL had absolutely no issue with United Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea City Spurs spending whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. They had no issues with some of them building stadiums. They had no issue with some of them spending money they didn’t have to the point of near administration. They had no issue with all of them committing to join a European super league. They had no issue with hacked scouting databases, residents being run out of homes, furlough pay being misused, multiple trashed team buses. Not a word.

Everton spend some money 6 years ago for the first time in our entire PL existence (after two decades of basically sell to buy and even sell to loan at times) and we’ve been forced into selling all our best players, being unable to buy replacements, losing our manager Ancelotti, back to back relegation battles as a result of poor squads and managers, the prize money lost from league placings, a 10 point deduction, the prize money lost from that deduction, and now likely a further punishment.

Just be arsed with any of it.

Probably a better analogy would be denying you were doing 90 mph and coming up with a feeble excuse. Then a year later doing 80 mph and then relying on the same feeble excuse and expecting to get away with it.

I seriously think we should protest in the same manner as Reading fans. Let's get a game or two suspended in order to get our point across. Clearly our efforts so far haven't had sufficient impact.
What's the worst that can happen? Kick us out of the PL. Well they're doing that anyway.
It'd be better to for all blues and concerned fans to be engaging their local MPs, to make clear the injustice.

The same for any decent journo's.

This is just one part of an incompetent, sometimes seemingly bordering on corrupt structure who's governance is simply not acceptable. This, the Refs inconsistency/bias, the VAR sham. The sooner an independent regulator that interfaces with fans kicks this shower out or into shape the better for all football here.

The timing with PO debacle and TV show has the nation thinking about such things.

This is the bit I don’t get.
Fair enough if that’s how you feel.
I didn’t support Everton because they were in a particular league, I supported them to watch the football and the sociable side of it. I am letting most of this just wash over me because at the end of the day I will go and watch them wherever and whatever league they play in.
I am a third generation Evertonian. My Grandad was still actively going the game at 94 years old before he passed of covid. Me, my Dad and my brother are all going Wednesday night. I support the club, but part of me thinks why would I want to put someone through this misery. When they have won leagues and champions leagues we have been battling for Europe. When we got it, we realised we had no money and couldn’t compete. When we try to compete this happens. I don’t even want someone to go through the misery I have. 38 years of life and I have seen an f.a cup win. I’m just fed up.
