This is my fear. That's a massive blow tonight in the manner it happened. We had a single kick to win it, and we got smart. This will take a bit of recovering from.

Yes, he made a bad choice. I thought he would score. Gana on the other hand when i saw the little guy walk up to the spot i knew 100 % straight off he was going to miss. Sometimes with penalties you can just tell.

….great opportunity missed, Onana dreadful and Pickford seemed to have soap on his gloves but it wasn’t meant to be. You could write a story about Michael Keane, I honestly don’t know with him.

Amazed at how relaxed people are at losing this game. Stuff the league. We are safe. This was a great opportunity to win a trophy for the first time in almost 30 years.

It’s very disappointing indeed but we never seem capable of doing anything in the blasted league cup.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is Garner should have been hitting that penalty instead of Onana. You hit set pieces and much better technical ability that was a mistake and cost us in the end.
