Relegation 23/24 Thread

Im honestly not that arsed about Sheff utd Burnley Luton results im not looking towards the teams below us, these teams have far weaker squads and lesser talented players than us, even if we got beat tomorrow im more than confident that we will be well away from all of them come February.

It's a little concerning to some as the points are disproportionally high at the moment. We are being docked approximately a quarter of a point per game (or 0.263 to be precise)

So a better way of looking at things would be to see us on 20 points minus 15x0.263... basically 4 points off. Leaving us on 16.

That has us level with palace on points in 15th but with a far better goal difference and a game in hand. This is where I expect us to be at the end of the season

Come February/March We wont be in the conversation for relegation.

It's not going to be easy but IMO we are the best team in the bottom half of the table.

If we avoid injuries then we can claw our way back up toward 11th / 12th. If we get injures then it'll be a relegation fight with about 4 other clubs to until May.

That's why I really don't want the extra cup games.

We have bigger fish to fry here.

Yes, spot on.

If - as expected - Luton get a battering tomorrow and we beat Chelsea this will have been an excellent weekend.

it's all relative: to avoid the drop you just need to be less bad than 3 other teams. To win the League, you need to be less bad than 19 other teams. Of course you could also say that to win the League you just need to be less bad than one other team...the one that finished second.
 

Win tomorrow were 6 points behind Chelsea who are 10th. Even with our points deduction.
There is 0, Zero, ZERO chance of us being relegated this season unless we went into administration even then I think wed stay up.
