Yes. Pretty much everyone wants us to be relegated.

Even my mate who is a Sunderland fan was desperate for us to down last season despite the clubs relationships regarding Bradley Lowery.

The takeover and the way the club went about following that has been absolutely disastrous for us on and off the pitch.
 
I was watching one of these football panels on tiktok yesterday, and it come to the Newcastle fan and he was saying something along the lines of " I don't know why everton hate us, they have made this fake rivalry with us trying to stay relevant, we are closer to Liverpool them them now"

Whilst I agree with his point, could not believe the bit about US making the rivalry, they are honestly the weirdest bunch of animal abusers I've ever seen

My experience has been similar. I don't think its hate or anything like that, but a lot of people I've spoken to just reckon it's our turn to go down, and that we've brought it on ourselves. In a sort of what goes around comes around way. Even non-toffees now seem to be sick and tired with the constant drama at Everton. They think we've sailed too close to the wind for years and have to face the consequences.

Is the other way we don't take notice of them any chance they have they want to bring us up. I don't even care that it is newcastle we olay on thursday it is more the performance last season i want this team to make up for was a disgrace also want that rat gordon to have that smile taken off his face

I think it’s clear that Everton fans have invested a lot more emotion in this alleged “rivalry” than Newcastle fans.

As evidenced by the intense emotion expressed throughout this very long thread, versus the non-plussed concern over injuries that characterises the average Newcastle fan’s thoughts about this game (e.g. https://newcastle-online.org/topic/...ited-71223-1930-amazon-prime/page/4/#comments).

Not worth getting worked up over either way.

Honestly i dont care what other fans think online, just dont see any reason to go and read what they say. I like to see what other fans think on players efc is after or is coming here and they say what thw player is like

We have more posts om a forum so the "rivalry" comes from us? What a bizarre take.

I'd say it started when we signed pickford and you lot absolutely hate him for obvious reasons.

Then it went up a little when you got taken over, won a few games and acted lisk youse are Madrid.

Are you a toon fan?

You only ever log in to say we are more obsessed about Newcastle and we are causing the rivalry. And in this instance, shared a link to a forum that’s suggest has a lot less users than this forum.
