Daily Mirror Reporting Nike Deal

I dont know if its them or the club who decides but the one thing i dont like about Le Coq is that theres 3 new kits every season. The wife got me the vanilla shirt for christmas a couple of years ago and i wouldve had the home shirt this year but whats the point if its going to be out of date within a few months.

Apart from that though Le Coq have done some great designs and, fair enough, the pink one was pretty horrid but at least they were trying something different

Every Club does it mate.

As long as it's for more $$$ have zero problem with it. Plus it increases the likelihood we'll be able to get frigging kits in the states.

This is City's third year with their third kit and second year with their home & aways.

Don't know why like, you think they'd be able to sell a lot of new ones to their new glory hunting foreign fans.

Every one of City's kits are new this year. Slightly changed home strip, black/red away kit instead of last year's dark blue, and a dark blue third kit instead of last year's white with red stripe.

EDIT: I think they've actually made last year's away kit the 'new' third kit, but the other two kits are definitely new for this season.

I think another reason behind the move would be that Villa will next year switch from Nike to Macron. Pretty sure Nike would like to keep as much of a profile in the prem with as many teams as possible.

Nike would be dope, but it does bring concerns. I am not too hip to what they do with the Euro football clubs, but they are notorious for frakking up traditional college football unis and generally pissing traditionalists off. (Although some, especially younger peeps, find these designs to be boss).

I don't know how much control the Board would maintain over these, but expect Nike to come up with some, let's just say, "progressive" ideas. Check the link for Oregon's football unis, which Phil Knight directly sponsors.

and the award for most american post ever goes to...

When Liverpool are getting Warrior(despite the financial benefits) and Villa are getting Macron, Nike kits would be quite welcome, I might even get some training gear if we go to Nike.
