Notts and Yorkshire miners never saw eye to eye so thats one of the major reasons why they didn't follow Scargill. And if I remember rightly, we wanted Cloughy as our manager in the 70's , but our board flicked it up as usual.Went for bobby robson instead who
turned us down then asked young Brian would he do the job as second choice. They never figured out that Mr Clough does not the take second best position and promtly told us to fungle off.
