26 games to go. 32 points from that keeps us up
This position is child’s play considering where we have been at times last few seasons.

I’m fairly confident we will get some points back and ultimately we have just looked so much better than last season. 26 to go I’d be confident we’d finish above Burnley, sheff utd and Luton at least.

Palace where the ones i didnt expect to mess up today, and way they played they shouldnt have really. Its all well and good us all saying we will stay up which i think we will, but last thing we need till/if we get some points back or whatever, is to be constantly be playing catch up as we dont know when the appeal result will happen, and may not be till say march/april. Even worst if we went on to lose v Man Utd (i think we will win). I would rather be ahead of the bottom 3 then get the points back not get them back for example just to get us level or just ahead

All things being equal I’d agree and of course I believe in our team but the two wins makes it challenging and you also have to allow for the fact that an injury or two and we look such a different side.

We need some good fortune that’s for sure and so far luck is not dished up fairly to our club.

Behind the boys of course 💪🏻
And then you must factor in morale. Luton are now 5 up on us. We lose tomorrow and they’re thinking a few wins before the new year and they could be moving out of sight.

Two wins is a big enough ask for them, but I doubt we’ll get two more in 2023 looking at a fixture list of United, Forest away, Newcastle, Chelsea, Burnley away, Spurs, and Man City.

Opportunity knocks for Luton. We shouldn’t have to earn two more wins than them, of course, but that’s what this unjust penalty forces us into.

The confidence after the points deduction baffled me.

Sure, we've had a great 6/7 weeks but we've been crap 3 years before that. If we repeat our average points per game the last 3 years we go down.

We've got a big fight on our hands. A iffy run of games until the new year ahead will be telling - don't underestimate the impact of pressure. If we are bottom 4 come Jan, it'll be a fight until May IMO.

Think we need to maintain some momentum after the deduction…. tough fixtures ahead … need 3pts v Utd or Forest.
Anything more than 3 would be a bonus

Feels like the pressure has eased though this season compared to other seasons, I think the players will feel confident.
