Big win today with Bournemouth getting a "shock" result of the season.

In reality Newcastle have pretty much a full team out. Will be a very good chance to beat them in a few weeks at Goodison as some of those injuries are long term.

Not going to get every reault go for us but makes the win important with this result

I think Bournemouth will start to pull away a bit. This is exact result and performance they should kick on with even if it's a very good time in the season to play Newcastle.

Looking pretty ominous for the promoted teams. They're going to get detached from everyone else in next 2-3 games unless one of them has a really good December but dosen't look likely on current viewing.

Hopefully just want us to keep pushing on is a sign for us to add to the squad if we can in jan

….we need to keep picking up points as even the promoted teams will have spells of form.

20 points at Christmas is a good minimum benchmark, above that is good below that is not good. Obviously a points deduction puts us back in the doo doo but if we look after ourselves the rest will look after itself.

The half way mark of 19 games is always a good marker. I honestly think a point per game ratio giving 38 points will be too much for the bottom three teams this season. We’ve got 14 points already so feel ahead of the curve at the moment but it would be great if we can just get the wins to end this conversation as early as possible this season. The points tallies for the teams at the bottom could be so low at the halfway stage that they’re looking at having to get 25 points in 19 games just to have a chance of survival

The fact this thread is still seeing a lot of activity shows that most people at least acknowledge what they aren’t prepared to speak of openly - the inevitability of a double digit points deduction
