The Detectives - Taking Down an OCG ( organised crime group )

Three part fly on the wall, filmed over four years, as a special unit of Rochdale CID attempt to take out the gang that controls the drug trade in the whole of Rochdale.

A truly outstanding documentary. fascinating and frightening in equal measure.

The Police Officers and witnesses in this are proper heroes, as there’s nothing the gang won‘t stop at - serious threats to to the investigating officers and their families, jury interference, witness intimidation and kidnap.

BBC 2, but on catchup too.
Going to watch this tonight, thank you

I've had marvel fatigue a good few movies ago but always liked the look of Loki, reading a few pages back it has some decent recommendations. Really enjoyed it so far, feels a sensible step away from marvel while still having the connection a comic book fan would want.

I enjoyed S1 but just felt the ending was a bit meh. The whole multiverse multiple timeline thing that Marvel has gone into just completely sucks out any peril or consequence whatsoever. Everyone is always alive somewhere and there's always a cheap reset button available for lazy writing or an actor being available again.

Infinity Wars had a really good ending with quite a gut-punch. For that kind of cinema behemoth that has that kind of light sensibility it was really something else. EndGame, as much as I enjoy it, was just a glossy, fun, getting the gang back together bit of fan service cowardice in the end.

Probably will watch S2 of Loki at some point though.

Finally got around to watching a couple of episodes of Gen V

Deffo ticks the boxes of a ‘The Boys’ spin-off, with the gross-outrageous comedic moments, but lacks the solid cast of the original.
You could say the same for most spin-off series really.

Seems ok so far though!
Its watchable, but theres nobody that stands out, the cameos from The Boys make it worth watching.

I'm onboard with that, had the whole thing ended with Infinity wars we'd be talking about a classic genre. I mean I get it, one something is profitable it will continue until its not and creative sensibilty isn't going to trump that in a boardroom meeting, but I remember saying before end game that if this is all sorted with tony stark solving time travel over a hot chocolate I will be furious, I got the drink wrong.
