I am convinced that the comments reported by, and published in the Daily Telegraph can be seen as breaching sub judice rule, and are potentially grossly prejudicial to the extant, unfinished proceedings of a quasi-judicial independent commission, which has major powers of punishment.

My concern is that where previously the news had been that we were being investigated by a private commission, but we had been working with the Premier League, now it's quite clear that the premier league consider us guilty.

Of course it depends if the independent board so too, but the League must think we are guilty.

Which is a huge concern after they will have gone through everything.

1. Remember it was the club which hinted at a stadium tax problem.

2. The Scab Six made a 'gesture of goodwill' in paying funds for the lower league teams. The Premier League were unable to fine them as they broke no rules - there were no rules against teams opting out of UEFA competition in favour a private competition. There are now.

I agree.. throw out the case.

Well they did refer us didn't they.

If that was the case then why do they have these constant issues with the fixture list and decisions going against them? surely the constant moaning from Shippman would have an impact. Also he has been punished numerous times due to his dancing on the sidelines. Id say it's got more to do with the fact we had strong links to Putins best mate, it was more obvious at Chelsea so they forced a sale but with us we had his bagman as an intermediary which made it more complicated.
What are these constant issues with the fixture list? They always seem to get the longer breaks over Christmas/New Year. Shipman would moan if they played one game every fortnight.
When has he been punished? He ran onto the pitch when they scored the last minute winner in the derby. Can't remember any punishment. Just remember Carragher enjoying the moment.

Some of you clearly dont know how the legal system works. The prosecution pretty much ALWAYS reccomends the penalty, but uiltmately its the judge/panel to decide. Nothing to see here.
The PL are not prosecuting. This is not a criminal proceedings.

They are not even Plaintiffs in a civil case. They are a body that has asked an independent commission to examine some allegations agcinst one of its members.

it is whoĺly in appropriate to make such recommendations before the Commission has even made its determination.

BTW in a criminal trial, the prosecution cannot make any recommendations regarding punishment before a verdict has been given.

That is how the legal system works.

Slapping a club with a 12 point deduction (point deduction is something the PL have never ever done) based on P&S on any club will put off the money sharks putting money into the league.

The brand would be tarnished.

Then there's Man City and their 115 breaches compared to our 1.
They have, Middlesbrough got docked 3 points in 96/97 for not fulfilling a Christmas fixture at Blackburn which turned out to be what relegated them come the end of the season

Portsmouth got a 9 point deduction in 2010 for going into administration which they couldn’t recover from
