….nice memory. I know ‘Bob the Pole’ was still very close and was in regular contact with his Everton Liaison Officer who sadly passed away in the last 12 months. Still very much one of ours is Bob.

Seem to recall Birmingham City punting him when he'd got them competing. Owners decided they wanted more attractive football, so appointed Zola. It promptly went wrong.

He lived by us when I was a kid.

A totally unassuming and normal fella, who you`d see all the time, with non of the trappings of wealth that normally comes with a footy player - a normal house, a normal car and dressed like a normal fella.

If you didn`t know who he was, you`d never have guessed he was a footy player - a bit like Southall.
