VAR

Otto von pissmark has played a blinder with these VAR whoppers and his replay nonsense - the RS will get absolutely everything for the rest of the season and maybe beyond after this debacle.

It will be worth much more than the 3 points they’ve lost against spurs.

I'm not so sure it will work out like that. In fact I've got a feeling it might go the opposite way. I should imagine every single match official is absolutely sick of them and would rather officiate root canal surgery then officiate their game due to the constant fall out that follows every single defeat.

I think every supporter and club will be looking with a very keen eye to see if their 5 day outburst has any influence in the coming days and I'm sue if it did, then a lot of people will bring it up.

I'd love someone from VAR to delve into the vaults at every dodgy free kick & penalty Mo Salah got for a good few seasons doing his Greg Luganis impressions.

Klopp was pretty quiet then.
I’d like to see any occasions that var gave the decision but didn’t tell the on pitch referee and it resulted in the wrong outcome, i bet they’ll never release that.
Let your obsession with hating our neighbours fade and you’ll see var is bad, the bias on here is laughable sometimes, worrying mainly.

I agree. Putting rivalry aside. I don’t think I have ever seen something similar happen in any other sport. There are obviously incorrect decisions in all sports, mistakes happen but I can’t think of anything comparable to the debacle at the weekend. It’s like a judge finding someone not guilty but the court clerk rights guilty instead and the guys goes to prison and the clerk refuses to correct his mistake. That is obviously different to an innocent person being wrongly found to be guilty by a court.

Think you get me wrong mate , I don't have an obsession with "our neighbours " , they are the only club to push their " injustice" like no other club has done ( and yet we have many of them ) they are full page news in ever media outlet.

If you check my history I've been against VAR from day one , it's not changed.

It’s a completely unprecedented situation.

So was I, I thought immediately it was another layer of defence for the top 4 clubs, I've been proven right on countless occasions. Look at the chaos you get when it's one of our big clubs getting a bad decision, goes to prove it, because nothing is said if its an Everton, Aston Villa, Luton etc.

Poor refereeing is unprecedented? Really?
It’s not poor refereeing. The officials made the correct decision but it wasn’t implemented. I can’t think of a single occasion where that has happened. It brings the entire game into disrepute because the officials confirmed a goal had been scored and it wasn’t included in the final score. That has never happened before. Liverpool are right to complain about it.

So the officials were right when the ball comes off Milners boot when Cody scored in the Derby ?

Not for me it isn't
They now have access to the conversations and are pushing it.
How many injustices have been glossed over in the past.

Outcome is its costly to one team in a game , and there has been many many in the past yet don't get this sort of coverage.
When has a comparable situation ever happened? This isn’t about an incorrect decision. The officials made the correct decision but it wasn’t implemented. It is completely different to a referee making a wrong decision even though the result may be the same. It’s like how everyone accepts operations can go wrong sometime but that is obviously different to going to hospital to get your appendix out but they take your leg off instead.

no, but the decision they made was implemented. It’s completely different. It’s the difference between the judge finding you guilty when you are innocent (which everyone accepts can happen sometimes) and the judge finding you not guilty but the police sending you to prison because they thought he said guilty. They’re very different issues. I would absolutely livid if I were a Liverpool fan.

Really hope you’re right Macc, but normally when over playing their hand, as they have in this instance, the blowback doesn’t normally hit them.

I want VAR to either sort itself out for all teams (hahahahaah!) or get in the bin, but shipmann and the RS only want what they can get for themselves, and damn the rest of us. Talk of a replay is deranged.

The incident was a complete omnishambles and appears to be a genuine mistake but it’s no worse or different than the many other balls up that VAR have made - in fact it’s probably less dodgy than the other many shocking calls.
