That video is ace. More power to whoever dreamed that community project up. There is life after work and community after illness. Shuffling down the pub with the dog and the days racing card for a slow days boozing isn't sustainable.

My old manager did some work on the pilot scheme evaluation for that I believe.

It is a great initiative. Loneliness and lack of connection is awful and for blokes a big reality after a certain age or life change.

They have mens sheds here as well, my mate was telling me his next door neighbour retired about 5 years ago and was a regular at one of the local ones. He had to stop going because the atmosphere was toxic and all the old farts arguing and backstabbing each other and he got accused of stealing some corn they were growing lol

Honestly don't think I'd have survived nearly 30 years on a female dominated profession teaching in mixed gender schools if I were a sexist. Average Labour participation rates worldwide are around 80% for men and 64% for women, they’re just making shows for their target audience. It’s not balanced but neither are the rates of people who don’t work. I’m guessing because for the best part of a century men have told them to stay at home and raise the kids.

You need a fire stick or streaming service in your life mate, watching terrestrial or sky/cable tv is like living in the dark ages
