VAR

I think it would have been unbelievably harsh to go back and disallow that.

Nketiah received the ball direct from the Beto deflection, so was offside.
I just don’t get how the rules have become, if the ball had deflected of one of our players in his direction he would be off side, but when their player plays the ball forwards he’s not offside.
Doesn’t make sense to me.

He’s not interfering with play. Which is defined as playing the ball or preventing the opponent challenging for, or playing the ball.

I get the point though. Nketiah was only active because of Beto, rather than the actual pass.

that is cognitive dissonance: your subconscience refuses to understand; because the consequence of it accepting the evident lays bare the reality that things are corrupt...and that is so upsetting to the equilibrium of your ethos, that you accommodate that reality in a "Doesn’t make sense to me" surrender.

There is no conspiracy. There isn't a secret cabal holding us down and keeping Liverpool up. It's just people who are as bad at their job as our players are at theirs, with a sprinkling of subconscious bias thrown in.

Doesnt matter who it is at one stage everyone making them decisions will have supported a club in their life that they are doing VAR on. I know if it was me i'd give Everton everything. Even a point at home.

It's fair to say you were proved right on Sunday
The PL just has terrible officials
Strange that so many foreign players are brought in to improve the league but officials are all British
If there was any accountability and the risk of being replaced they'd up their game

Whereas I can't help but delight in the injustice to Liverpool this weekend I also recognise that we have suffered more from VAR than any other club and I don't think there is a single club or person anywhere which thinks it works well.

Don't know about you's but fair play to Liverpool for letting us all know that they are" looking at their options" feel honoured that such a giant in football has let var, the FA, the Premier league and all us fans know that var has made it only mistake ever against Liverpool fc and an apology isn't good enough and it's all about integrity in football as a whole.

Shouldn't laugh really :dance::dance:
ECHO REPORT
<<Any club that receives six or more cautions or dismissals in a game are fined by the FA, with such a total including the dugout area.

Consequently, the ECHO understands that Liverpool have indeed been issued with a £25,000 fine, having received eight cards in the capital. With such a financial penalty automatic, there is no charge to answer and there will be no statement from the FA. Tottenham won't be fined as they only received five bookings.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if any Reds players will be charged for their comments on social media after the game. Mac Allister was one such player, after he commented 'Normal when you have 12 players' on a post from Tottenham Hotspur defender and fellow Argentina international Christian Romero..>>

All I know is that VAR is another tool to be used for corruption. Some teams seem to get the greater rub of the green far more often than is statistically possible. Teams at the bottom are regularly shafted. We're regularly shafted. Wolves are regularly shafted. And while we can laugh about it LFC are regularly shafted. For the integrity of the game to persist there really needs to be an independent review of the entire process. What if we get shafted and it turns out to be the difference between relegation and staying in the PL? We should be siding with LFC on this one IMO. If these mupp3ts at the PGMOL are permitted to go on as they have been over the last few years then the game is truly finished.
