Lumping it to Beto doesn't work in the same capacity as it does when you lump it to DCL because DCL is an aerial target man and Beto is more of a Lukaku target man who likes the ball to his feet. The problem though is that we are [Poor language removed] from playing out from the back as our players aren't good enough on the ball so it leaves us and Pickford in a terrible position where he can't really win.

We have tried the playing out from the back route before and the results were equally as crap.

Unless we get lucky and strike gold he's the best keeper we are likely to have for some time.

Not perfect, but better than this shambles of a club right now.

I think the fact that he doesn't angle for a move elsewhere is unappreciated.

Agreed, but at least at times in the past we had midfielders who could, in theory, control the ball and make a decent pass on occasion.

Our current midfield? Good god, playing it out from the back would be suicidal.

Not sure how anyone can moan at him for trying to make the save, easy to say after the event to leave it and its cleared off the line, but many would have moaned if somehow he managed to leave it and it actually flew past the defender on the line, just pure unlucky in reality

A concerted effort to not pass the ball to him today it seems, in fact he wasn't even noticed until the Brentford goal.

I want to see less of him this half
