A lot more to it than just that.

We left customs union signed up to very similar deal so did we really leave the customs union? Is that what the people wanted? I say it isn’t.

We are definitely out of the customs union, yes.
Interesting if you phrase this as if we voted remain, was remain poorly defined. So people didn’t get the remain they wanted. I doubt this question would ever have been asked because let’s face it the establishment and both main parties were remain.

Well remain was the status quo. So remain meant, carry on, no change.

It’s MSM trying to discredit fudge and falter brexit. Thats why this idea is spread in msm I’ve seen it before, of a poorly defined brexit it’s a vehicle to 💩 on the will of the people.

Not sure how much time the Mail, the express or the telegraph spent trying to discredit and falter Brexit, they have been the biggest cheerleaders.

I think it was poorly defined, but when I asked about your definition you said customs union and freedom of movement, both of which you got.

The will of (52% of) the people was enacted, and now we can fill in extra customs forms for goods, and (from next year) apply for a ETIAS visa waiver to travel. Win and win.

Brexit in name only, they tried to block rerun fudge and align closely as possible. Of course you already knew that.

Anyway these topics are boring, you lot keep calling me out I’ll defend myself. Also very noticeable how rare any of you answer a question but throw loads out there waiting to be triggered it’s pathetic.
You're pathetic. Ask me a question and I'll answer it. Come on let's have it

Yep, he went full racist. I didn't even know he had an issue with me until he melted down, I couldn't get that heat from some posters when I actually tried

Ash really had it in for you didn`t he ?

Which is odd, as there were many more worse offenders than you, for ribbing him - all the photo shops for instance lol

We are out the customs union yes, like saying I cannot have my house removing one brick then saying ok I will have this house instead.

We voted leave then installed a remain prime minister who negotiated the following deal with these issues.

You think the below was the will of the people?

  1. Backstop: The deal included a "backstop" arrangement for the Irish border, which some Leave voters saw as a way to potentially keep the UK tied to EU rules indefinitely. They worried it could prevent the UK from fully regaining control over its borders and laws.
  2. Customs Union: May's deal proposed a temporary customs union with the EU, which some Leave supporters viewed as limiting the UK's ability to strike independent trade deals with other countries.
  3. Financial Settlement: The deal agreed to pay a significant financial settlement to the EU, which many Leave voters saw as a large sum of money being paid without clear benefits for the UK.
  4. Lack of Clarity: Some Leave voters felt that the deal lacked clarity and certainty regarding the future relationship between the UK and the EU, leading to concerns about ongoing uncertainty.
  5. Democratic Concerns: There were concerns that the deal didn't fully respect the result of the 2016 referendum, as it retained some EU rules and regulations, and didn't provide a clean break from the EU.

From this criteria.

Vote Leave Campaign:

  • Objective: The primary objective of the Vote Leave campaign was to persuade British citizens to vote for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union (Brexit) in the 2016 referendum.
  • Key Arguments:
    1. Sovereignty: They argued that leaving the EU would allow the UK to regain control over its laws and regulations, asserting that EU membership limited British sovereignty.
    2. Immigration: The campaign highlighted concerns about immigration, suggesting that leaving the EU would give the UK more control over its borders and immigration policies.
    3. Financial Savings: They claimed that leaving the EU would result in significant financial savings, as the UK would no longer have to make substantial contributions to the EU budget.
    4. Global Trade: Vote Leave argued that Brexit would allow the UK to negotiate its trade deals independently of the EU, potentially opening up new global trade opportunities.

Anyway MSM included BBC Guardian etc pro remain, they attacked the legitimacy of brexit muddied the waters and tried to block impede and fudge every step of the way. 52% or 2 million more people?

All in all it was disaster all round they never had the right to take us as far in Europe as they did either. They went too far, were greedy this is the end result, we are all worse off. Any advantage to Brexit have been fudged, left with the worst of both worlds.

Enough brexit for me for one day!

No idea what this means.

Yep, Vote Leave’s promises were vague and non specific leading to it being poorly defined.
Anyway MSM included BBC Guardian etc pro remain, they attacked the legitimacy of brexit muddied the waters and tried to block impede and fudge every step of the way.

So, some media attacked Brexit, and others championed and supported it. Sounds about normal, with ‘both sides’ being represented.
52% or 2 million more people?
No, either 52% or 1.3m more people.
All in all it was disaster all round they never had the right to take us as far in Europe as they did either. They went too far, were greedy this is the end result, we are all worse off. Any advantage to Brexit have been fudged, left with the worst of both worlds.

Yep. A disaster. We’re all worse off, left with the worst of both worlds.

We can end on an agreement.

Hello mate, on case you hadn't noticed Theresa May isn't in power, didn't Institute that deal and quite a lot else has happened since.
