Summer transfer window 2023

Our finances are like a single parent on benefits who is propping their lifestyle up on credit card. Can’t repay enough debt off to cover the interest so the financial hole keeps getting bigger until eventually the bailiffs turn up.

None of us know the real money situation so there’s no point speculating over it.

If you’d said at the start of the window that Iwobi and Maupay would go and we’d buy a 30 mill striker Beto plus Chermiti and also bring in Danjuma Harrison and Young, most would probably have taken that, especially with Iwobi getting 22 mill.

We’ve been crying out for ages for Everton to bring players in before they sell them, when we actually do that in a window though no one likes it. We’ve also said we should give youth a chance, yet when we play Dobbin there’s people wanting us to spend money on another wide option.

As ever the success of the window will come down to injuries. If DCL and Beto stay fit all season and we can partner McNeil and Danjuma with them most games then we’ll look fine in the attacking areas. If those 4 Miss most of the season then suddenly Harrison Chermiti etc. don’t look like we’ve done enough.

100%

Seems Kev and Dyche have done a good job helping the 'clubs' (Moshiris) finances - but as a fan I'm looking at a bare bones PL squad that could easily land us in deep trouble with injuries.

Better up front but inadequate depth in midfield and defence.

It is what it is, support the team and change the owner and chairman hopefully.

People can talk about down payments, cash up front, staggered payments, different years, whatever they want, but these are the cold hard facts.

All figures are estimations and are not accurate, this im aware.

Gordon 45m
Kean 27m
ISS 4m
Niels 5.5m
Iwobi 22m
Cannon 7m
Simms 7m
Stones Clause 2.5m

120m Incoming

Beto 26m
Chermo 12m
Danjuma 3m

41m Outgoing

I guess thats what a fire sale looks like.
Its clear the owner has decided hes not investing any more in the squad.

The only reason we didn't reinvest the money is that the owner decided he didn't want to make the money available. There is no logical reason why we wouldn't reinvest if the cash was made available.

Moshiri has given up. He needs to go.

Fully agree. This season will probably be challenging again, but steps are being taken so financially secure the club in the long term.

Can't help but think Deli may be crucial in our season.
He's either completely washed up and lost desire to play which means his wages are hammering us...or..he will back up his claims from that interview, that he's hungry and determined to reignite his career.

If he gets back to training with the squad and shows dyche he's turned over a new leaf. Trains like a horse and forces some play time, then he may be that perfect ACM we desperately need.
