If a club doesn't urgently need cash flow they will strike structured deals in exchange for a higher final fee, but the fee doesn't seem too inflated to me for a striker in today's market, and it seems unusual to me a club would take NOTHING up front.

Yeah it essentially is, but doing it without any sort of loan fee is unusual. We got two years of loan fees for Moise Kean before Juve paid the final amount for the permanent.
Exactly, how does that benefit them in any way? Dont get it but great if so.
