I’m not a fan of lining up with Garner on the right of midfield. Not against him, he plays well centrally, just don’t think it works with him on the right.

I would have brought mykolenko into LB and moved Young into Left midfield, then put Dobbin on the right.

I guess the thinking is you end up with a kid thinking they’re close to the first team when they’re still miles away. Don’t agree with it myself but loads of our managers did the same

Bench isn’t the greatest but options will at least look better in 2/3 weeks with McNeil, Harrison, Iwobi, DCL, one or both of Beto and Adams and maybe Coleman in the squad

There's positives with the team but I still worry about the right side Patterson/Garner have been as a combination really poor in the 2 games.

Everyone saying we have no wingers… we do have Demarai Gray, right? I understand why he’s being left out, but we could be playing him and he could be helping us win games.

He's training away from the main group isn't he so about as far away from "match fit" Dyche criteria as you get.

Perhaps he'll be re-integrated after the window closes but McNeill and Harrison should be fit by end of September so can't see it.
