Goodison's atmosphere.

he was time wasting 5 mins into the 2nd half goat ,think thats why he was getting stick

It was the goal tbh Fox, it didnt please anybody and rightly so.

I had a discussion with Kay not long ago and my main fault was his utter gashness in controlling his area, if he was strong we wouldnt have conceded.

you are wrong. your premise is wrong. kenwright is wrong.

Just saying.

Not the best way to endear ourselves to the World by ****ging our team off all game and then whining that we lose.

Back to basics, please crowd.

Be the bigger men.

The atmosphere is rubbish because what we watch on the pitch is rubbish. Do we blame the players for looking clueless in possession and their refusal to close players down when we don't have the ball? Do we blame Moyes as he picks the team and makes poor decisions during the game or do we blame kenwright for not providing the funds to invest in the team?

I have had my season ticket for the past 5 season and I have seen a steady decline in what I see on the pitch. We make it easy for the opposition as we play at such a slow pace we let them get men behind the ball and they are happy with that as they know we can't break them down.

When we have played well in the past few seasons we have played at a quick pace and had quick players which we sold and haven't replaced and these type of players cost a lot of money now when is something we don't have.

Feel sorry for the supporters paying good money to watch some of the stuff we put out. Sure you don't have to go, but that's the supporter part coming out, everyone knows football isn't the same as going to the cinema, it's nigh on a religion to most of us, and we expect decent stuff as for the majority of Everton's history we've been one of the best teams in the country.

I'd never boo my own team to be fair, I guess if people pay the money they're entitled to? Not sure. Not gonna help anyone though, when you play for your local team and having a 'mare, you don't need telling, I'm sure they know themselves.

Not singing is one thing, but I 100% disagree with anybody booing or ****ging off our players at the ground and shouting personal insults at them. It's very disappointing, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree that people have every right to be unhappy right now with the performances on the pitch, the board, and the club's financial situation, but booing and shouting at the players doesn't help at all. Morale is already so low, and to be booing and shouting after only 10 minutes is just bad. As soon as it started happening, you could tell it created a nervous tension on the pitch and wasn't helping at all.

One of the more disappointing this I've seen this season as well is ****ging off our players on twitter, especially ones that didn't even take part in the game. A few weeks ago people were telling Distin, despite being injured, that he wasn't a true professional, and that he's past it, and that their grandmothers can play better, and all sorts of jarg. That is truly disgusting, but big credit to Distin for actually taking his time to respond. All the protesting, and ****ging off has hurt Blackburn this season and it certainly hurts us as well.

Bolton and Wigan have been in the ****ter all season, but when have you seen their supporters boo or jeer the players, or write "Open Letters for Roberto Martinez to Step Down"? Guaranteed if everyone got back behind the team and Moyes again it would have a positive effect on morale and our performances on the pitch.

If you're complaining about paying for tickets every weekend, and you're just showing up to boo or **** off the players then you're better off just not showing up to the ground instead and saving your money. At least that would make more of a point, but stuff like this just puts more negative pressure and tension on the team and we don't need that at all right now.

I agree, fair enough no one is singing, me neither.

But abusing players over twitter is disgusting and should be stopped.

Except Saha. Give him loads.

As a season ticket holder, I haven't booed a performance yet, but it also doesn't mean I'm gonna cheer the sh*t that gets put in front of me every week. I still have to pay to go games (train tickets from Leeds), and it means giving up my whole day on a Sat, which I am sure I could do far better things with given the sh*te that has been served up this season. While I don't agree with booing necessarily, I think that as fans we deserve better than the sh*te negative football that is getting served up every week

damned if you do and damned if you dont....personally ive never booed any of ever players when i go over but lately ive have been doing a lot of whoooosha...... to keep it all in
its funny as i watched sats game i thought of all the supporters who regularly turn up and i think they are entitled to boo ( but not be abusive ) because what we are watching at the moment is tripe and it looks like te top earners really couldnt giv a fook because they have the safety net of our lack of numbers/ money...;...

and i think its important to let them now that we (the paying customer) are not gong to just sit down and clap and whistle dixie and have big smiles just because it might "effect" them

Good old days :(

Yep, Goodison's dead most weeks. That's why when I can go, more often than not it's away games.

But will be in the street end for Chelsea, not as lucky as a lot of you who get to go every game. See a lot of people moaning but I'd kill to be able to go every game and support my team, playing gash or not.

Should be good for City a week tomorrow though COYB.

It seems some people in this thread genuinely believe that if everyone in Goodison went mental like Lech Poznan fans for 90 minutes, that we'd actually perform better.

Like at Wembley in the Cup Semi / Cup Final?

Amazing atmosphere, yet we were poor in both games.

It's a nice sentiment to think that they would, but its not realistic.

Action and reaction go hand in hand. Good tackle / shot / block / closing down, and the crowd respond.

Everytime we get close to scoring the stadium errupts, and rightfully so.

So thats 5 different 'actions' in a game full of them. Technically there should be lots to sing about.

Yet most matches the atmosphere is quiet because......guess what......we have like 2 shots on goal, show no heart, no commitment, don't close down etc etc and to make matters worse, these lads are on more money than we will ever see in our lifetime. This fact brings out the worst in people.

It's not rocket science. Anyone overseas that is upset by this, if you can get to a game in the next few weeks and see how we are performing at the match, you will totally understand what i'm saying. It's heartbreaking.

Booing players is a separate issue.

I'd be interested to know how many of these people saying we should be cheering on the team regardless actually go to the match. I bet the results would be pretty obvious, those people might feel differently when they spend 2 hours of their valuable weekends off and spend £20+ a game not including tickets to watch us play s***e football.

Everytime we get close to scoring the stadium errupts, and rightfully so.

Hell, every time somebody makes a good creative pass or we get a good counter attacking move going the crowd picks up. It's completely absurd to expect people to cheer rubbish football. We are not machines that make atmosphere so that players who earn tens of thousands a week feel better.

There was a spell after we scored on Saturday where the crowd was really getting behind the team because we were pressing to score another goal, and that's exactly how it should be.
