We can't neglect the immediate - core of every decision has to be staying in the league.
I'm not overly enthused with Adams, nor going to have a nervous breakdown but it's very small margins down there. Does he improve us a bit?
We're skint, relegation fodder managed by Sean Dyche and it's clear as day to anyone the club is dysfunctional. World football has Everton down as a basketcase thanks to Moshiri, Kenwright and co. Goalscorers are hard to come by at the best of times, nevermind for Everton at the moment.
Goalscorers are hard to come by so we've targeted a striker with a worse goal per game ratio than the currently misfiring Maupay.
Che Adams will be our 10th existing squad player to have experienced relegation. Reap what you sow there.
And sending Harrison home.On the basis of that we should be pulling out of the Gnonto deal then.

Ding ding dingQPR?
MmmmmmClootie Dumpling?
Maupay scored goals before he come here.
I think this is a decent take;
I really don't know what more a DoF could ask for
Nothing like Maupay in terms of style. A much better fit for Dyche's style as well, and would have been a far better fit this time last year.
If he comes he would probably do ok here and allow the team to function a bit better. Finishing will again be an issue with him though and he's not clinical, but I would hope he would get at least 5 over the course of a season.
At £12m I think it's a pretty expensive fee. If they reject that and ask for more then we really shouldn't be offering more, because there is no value in the deal. It's unimaginative recruitment, but that's to be expected at this point, especially with Dyche's opinion on the importance of players who know English football. I just hope we don't pay a ridiculous fee to bring him in because there has to be other forwards with a similar profile out there.

He is a short term solution and hopefully Chermati is the longterm solution.
Did we not do that with Chermiti ?I get that, but even someone like Boniface would have been worth a punt; he went for around £17m
