Transfer Rumour Che Adams

Nothing like Maupay in terms of style. A much better fit for Dyche's style as well, and would have been a far better fit this time last year.

If he comes he would probably do ok here and allow the team to function a bit better. Finishing will again be an issue with him though and he's not clinical, but I would hope he would get at least 5 over the course of a season.

At £12m I think it's a pretty expensive fee. If they reject that and ask for more then we really shouldn't be offering more, because there is no value in the deal. It's unimaginative recruitment, but that's to be expected at this point, especially with Dyche's opinion on the importance of players who know English football. I just hope we don't pay a ridiculous fee to bring him in because there has to be other forwards with a similar profile out there.

They'll struggle to replace him for less than 12m. He seems to do very well at championship level. 20+ goals the last time he played there and 2 already this season, not many players for less than 10m are scoring like that.

That's fine, they are allowed to reject our bid. And we are allowed to refuse to increase our bid and walk away.

The problem is that if we really wanted him, this negotiation should have taken place 6 weeks ago. The lack of urgency again this summer has been abysmal and already cost 3 points.

No expert on adams but watched him a few times for scotland, lead the line really well. And we need a presence up top. Does he improve us? Yes.
Hope this goes through.
