There are so many mad theories

Surely the most likely is:
He’s a player we’re keen on but weren’t working on a deal for
PSG decided to speak directly to Moshiri as he’s the owner and said ‘we’ll accept a bid around 25m on drip or loan to buy if you want it’
Moshiri said yes please and got the ball rolling

At this point not everyone was on board

Then he’s got Thelwell and whoever else needs to know on Teams and said ‘lads, that player you fancy is up for sale - get to work’

Now everyone is involved

BK not being on board/included might actually be a plus. Thelwell being excluded would not. The ‘not everyone’ wording leaves us guessing as to the exact situation.

I’d be a touch less cynical if it was one of the ex-Echo/Post guys Kenwright does not like breaking it eg Hunter, McNulty as I’d be more confident it was being briefed via DoF or manager contacts.

Joyce is not only a kopite but BK's mouthpiece. There can be any number of reasons why he has put this out but you can be sure Kenwright has leaked it for selfish anti-Moshiri reasons (shock, horror).

I don’t see how leaking that moshiri is the man behind a move that most people are really excited about would be a good idea if it was meant to be for anti moshiri reasons it’s having the opposite effect!

Dyche tells Thelwell he wants a younger version of DCL.
Maybe Thelwell has had all his targets in row only to see them fail under Bill's "Experience and Acumen".
He gets wind of the PSG situation & Big Hugo . Goes straight to Farhad (can we afford it) , Farhad "go for it I know people in PSG "
Bill gets miffed tells his cronies , first up its absolute denial , that fails then a story comes out not "Everyone" is in agreement.

Couldn't make it up ?

Yeah there’s been a few things from Joyce recently that I’ve thought had an unecessary anti- Everton slant to them. He’s probably out of the loop now that Kenwright isn’t allowed to play football manager anymore.

It doesn’t make sense to me I think sometimes supporters want to claim that Kenwright and co are very calculating and clever and can manipulate everything to their advantage and sometimes want to claim they’re total idiots who are like slapstick comedians with everything always back firing on them it just depends which one fits the story.

i think they try to manipulate it not reloading that what there doing is going to have the opposite reaction to what they want , head lock gate, letters to fans etc etc

Him reporting on the Blackpool pre-season game score in particular was a mask slip moment.
