Player Valuation: £2.5m
Another confirmation that this club is rulled by absolute morons.

Saint-Ettiene rejected Eintracht 6 million euros bid for him and are expecting a bigger bid.

From Nkounkou's interview for L'Equipe:
"When I was made aware of the possibility of signing there (in Frankfurt), I immediately agreed. Now, I have to settle my situation with Saint-Étienne, which is complicated. When I arrived in Saint-Étienne this winter, things were very clear with the leaders. I was coming for six months on loan. Everton wanted to impose a purchase option (estimated at around €2.3 million), but Saint-Étienne did not ask for it at the base, especially given the situation and the maintenance in Ligue 2 which was not yet acquired. In the end, Everton insisted and the option to buy was included, but we had decided not to talk about it.

It was a ridiculous option to buy price.

£1m is basically nominal in football now a days. I'm fairly sure I read that it was thelwell who insisted on the option to buy being put in.

Which i must admit, if true doesn't fill me with confidence and probably alludes to the fact of why we need kenwright to stay and do the negotiations over deals.

OH REALLY (Where is that owl gif )

Would you have said it was too low when he went there?
Not sure if I knew at the time, but probably yes

We could still have accepted £1m or £2m even without a formal option, but we didn't give the player's value any scope for growth if he played well. We probably could have doubled our money on the open market.

In hindsight makes it all easy.

All the players that we have that have been on loan come back and do nothing and people moan why can't we shift them for any money, why don't we put in options to buy and so on.

I dunno like, if he'd gone on loan with public 2m option I can't see you having complained whatsoever lol
