I think the main point here is that people who diss heavy metal and stuff, and think everyone that likes it sits in the dark praying for a vampire apocolypse is either retarded, a chav, or a 14 year old chav. It's an absurdly wide genre of music. You probably havent even heard 1% yet your mouthing off as if Lil Wayne and Drake are the kings of music. **** off. You're probably also the kind of people that think David Guetta is No.1 DJ in the world. Anyway to sum up, it's not big or cool to diss a whole genre of music and stereotype all it's listeners anymore. Most of us have grown up. It's perfectly fine that it's not to your tastes, but that doesn't make everyone a 'cape wearing' nonce. And if they are, so what? Leave em alone. No one calls you up on your sergio tacchini trackies and neck tattoos.

The idea that everyone that like metal sits in the dark praying for a vampire apocalypse makes me like metal more not less. It's one of the positives of the genre as far as I'm concerned. We've made a right mess of things I think it's only fair to give the vampires (and Draculas!) a shot at running things for a while.

You really don't like Lil Wayne -- that's the third time you've mentioned Lil Wayne in this thread alone. Is it because Lil Wayne made Rebirth which is generally considered to be the finest metal record of 2010?

Lil Wayne is the best! Cough Syrup! Please don't get angry I'm just kidding (about everything aside from how awesome Lil Wayne is). His flow on Wasted is pretty tight though.

Lil Wayne is a disgraceful human being with no talent who has contributed to the demise of hip hop considerably as well putting out absolutly terrible records on regular basis. He doesn't even rap. He just talks with his slurry sometimes autotuned stupid voice. I hate him so bad, and anyone who thinks he's good depending on who they are goes down in my estimations accordingly.

Anyone who likes Lil Wayne listen to: Nas, Biggie, NWA, The Game, Tupac, OFWGKTA, Mac Miller, Hopsin and then realise how wrong you've been.

It's absolutly fine that it's not your thing, can't say I listen to a lot of it anymore, but I don't know why it's cool to diss a whole genre of music and it's listeners.

Yep, but they are in the sub genre of thrash metal. There are many sub genre's of metal.

Oh. Iron Maiden and Metallica and that are decent, but stuff like Bring Me The Horizon where they just scream down the microphone to a backing track of 30 guitars being wrecked is f*cking ridiculous.

That is some awfully good company you're putting Mac Miller into. I liked the k.i.d.s mix-tape and all but damn. I wasn't aware there was such venom about Wayne. He's not great but I didn't realize he made people so mad. In an unrelated note, how do people feel about Skrillex?

I got carried away :-( he isn't in their league technically, but his songs are so catchy I like him. They're all the same like. Him, Odd Future and Wiz Khalifa are about the best around these days.

There's such an anger over Lil Wayne because he floats about in his purple leather pants while talking into a microphone like a 90 year old chain smoker yet is still considered by 13 year olds as the best therefore is on millions when there's FAR better rappers making a few quid off the odd mix tape and living in a one bedroom flat. Fume.
