I think that's kinda the point.

They were doomed, but it seems the owners (or new DoF) haven't seen enough to give them confidence he has the ability to guide them back up.

Dave is quite rightly pointing out that a large portion of the Everton support were champing at the bit to appoint a vastly underqualified Ferguson to manage the clown show that is Everton.

It's genuinely mental how blinded some are by that freak Chelsea game.

i don't get the point, having that job for 6 months doesn't prove anything.
obviously he shouldn't be given the Everton job until (if)he can prove he's capable though.
