TV Series

This may have been covered previously, just finished watching the Italian crime drama “ Don’t leave me” . Very, very good . Great storyline, great acting and stunning shots of Venice throughout. Probably the best thing we’ve watched this year.

It was on All4 - Walter Presents.

I looked at it, as it was written by the people who did Gomorrah, but then forgot about it !

Thanks for jogging my memory, on my list ;)

I get where you`re coming from, but in the middle bits, I was having to go back and do little recaps, which meant that I hadn`t really been paying attention.

Apple are really turning out some good stuff though.

Yeah, we got a 6 month free trial and ended up keeping it when it ended last month. It's really well set out etc, some very good small docs on there too.

they seem to be going for less but better quality, which is a nice change

Just finished it.

It starts off really well, goes flat and wanders about a bit in the middle and then really picks things up with the last few episodes.

They could`ve condensed the middle 3/4 episodes into 2.

Rebecca Ferguson is going to go onto very great things in the near future.

Dare I say, that her talents are wasted in this, as she was way too good for the rest of the cast and that includes Tim Robbins.

Still very good though, there seems to be a big run on dystopian stuff at the mo.
Rebecca Ferguson is just one of a string of very fine British female actors who are smashing it over in the US at the moment.

As regards Silo, I really enjoyed the show and thought the momentum built throughout the series in much the same way as Severance. Have you read the book? I did but it must have been around 10 years ago so can't recall just how closely the series follows it. I think the characters are pretty much the same, but I'm sure the book had this massive revolt when the bottom dwellers rebelled against judicial and that took up nearly half the book.

I haven`t read the book, but having just had a look at it, it sounds very much like the sort f thing that I like - dark, dystopian etc, so I`ve put it on the list ;)

The last episode of Silo, was by the best, she`s a massive talent

There is going to be a second season, so it might be in that

They dont want anyone to know about outside being green. They want everyone to see a dead outside through the windows -- but finally the outside is dead anyway and its all holograms--so the view from the windows is correct. So what is the point of having a green outside supported by a hologram that only is seen when outside or when the generator was turned off? Im confused

Fun fact: Rebecca Ferguson is actually Swedish, believe it or not!

Haha was just about to post that. Good in mission impossible and a couple of others too.

When she talks she has a perfect English accent and a British sounding name. I don't spend half my time on Wikipedia ffs.😀

Anyway her mums English so Im still claiming her.

Not a TV show but the documentary thread seems to have died.

Muscles and Mayhem on Netflix is great. It’s about the American Gladiators and they are all bonkers. Loads of fun late 80’s early 90’s stuff in it.
