Just watched the Lewis Capaldi set from yesterday. That poor lad. Imagine falling to bits like that. Heartbreaking for him.
Genuinely upsetting when you know his background. Hope he gets over his problems.

What happened mate? Watched his documentary a month or so ago, absolutely horrible for the kid, pressure on him was immense when it was obvious he wasn't well.

He gradually, slowly falls to bits through his set, you can see his demons taking over, starts ticking and just loses his confidence then his voice just went. So sad to watch. Hope hes ok today

Genuinely emotional watching that Capaldi set. Boss young lad, funny as well.

Lana Del Rey would get the best 5 seconds of my life but did she really turn up late because she was getting her hair done meaning her set got pulled before she'd finished?

Yup. Mic turned off on her at midnight.
Dems da roolz 🤷‍♀️

Duff has always been sound, he did a lot to help Mark Lanegan, too. His background was in the Northwest punk scene, he was in the Silly Killers IIRC.

Think it was just Kurt and Axl really.

I'll be honest though, I've never had any love for Guns N Roses, always thought they sucked balls.
Duff had his little feud with the Nirvana bassist too I think, but it's all in the past now at this point.

I dislike Axl cuz he's a show-stopping pretentions knob but the band plays some good tunes. What made them suck for me personally was seeing them live in 2012 - random non-original members, Axl clearly going for an absolute cash grab, and people going because, well, "it's GnR"... but it really wasn't, felt like a mediocre cover band with a very fat wannabe Axl impersonator.

Haven't seen them since they had the OG reunion but honestly don't really want to either, completely ruined for me. Still occasionally listen to some songs, there are some bangers obviously.

It’s hard to not like Lewis Capaldi, isn’t it?

If you haven’t, give a watch of his documentary on Netflix. Got a great support off his parents, and can clearly see he’s just a normal lad, with an extraordinary talent.

Such a shame that he has the anxiety he has, no one should feel that way. Just watched his set, and that’s the biggest crowd of the weekend I’ve seen. Can easily see why his demons got the better of him.

What ever happens next, done what he wanted and smashed Glastonbury. Well done lad.

Yeah saw Lewis Capaldi, and agree it's sad, but he's another one for me whose music all just sounds a bit samey. Was glad the set ended tbh, just one slightly upbeat jaunty tune would have done.

Very talented and likeable lad is Lewis Capaldi. It’s a shame his Tourette’s is having major issues on his performances. Full credit to him for still trying to perform and showing the world how hard it is for him. It takes some set of balls to go out and perform when his Tourette’s is getting the better of him.
