Different for someone like axl rose. Imagine the beegees doing it. Barry Gibb going more Barry White.... It just wouldn't sound right.

Couple of semi-tones wouldn’t be noticeable. Robert Plant did it, and his is a similar range to Rose’s.

Just think Axl’s voice is shot by his style. To be fair though, he’s holding it ok here, for me. Helps with that band behind ya though.
