They do but what's the point if they're cannon fodder?

Nothing elitist about it, they are pointless, it's just a friendly but helps us qualify for a tournament. I don't ever remember Poland, Turkey and Switzerland getting nobbed every game.

Time was if they could keep a top side to less than 4-6 goals then it was a good day

Now they are competitive against most sides

Poland have always gave England a game as have Switzerland, Turkey were whipping boys for England back in the 80s but haven’t lost by more than 2 since 1992

I went to a game vs Turkey at the old Wembley with the school. Think it was 4-0 to England and I missed at least 2 goals going to the bog! Think Gazza played.
