….if he’s been offered 2 years on his current salary, i expect him to bite the clubs hands-off. The fact he he’s not already lined up a move suggests he has very few offers on the table.

Joke of a decision that has legitimately ruined the window for us in my view. Tom Davies is a dreadful player who'd be lucky to land in a Championship squad but it's about what it signifies.
We are absolutely skint and need any bodies to fill the squad, not just that but the club have clearly not learned and don't care, they think the "cheap" option is keeping Davies, who's probably on £50k a week, despite the fact that there's young lads on 1/10 of that who'll have the same impact or better on the squad, it's no wonder why talented young players like Price chose to leave when they see this going on.
FFS throw Warrington into Davies' position and move on from him, again he's dreadful. Literally any amount of money we throw at him will be a waste that we'll regret. The management of this club is truly the worst in the world, no doubt and this decision shows it in a microcosm.

So, how are we going to do this ?
The toblerone should still ideally be in the wrapping and of course there will to be pictures taken, possibly a video, there may be an opportunity to raise money for charity although probably not when you consider what the pictures may look like.
I wonder if Tom Davies himself would come and blow the starting whistle for the run.

Yes the only help right now is that he’s a body for out wafer thin squad no surprise we’re where we’re as over the last 4 seasons he’s been on the pitch for 80 games averages 20 games per season really is shocking and if nothing better is coming through that’s even more worrying.
Silence was golden for Tom apparently.
However, I would not be surprised if he didn't sign.
