Summer transfer window 2023

We wont be signing anyone until 30th June as thats when the financial year ends for clubs. Theyll want to put down the 70 million from Gordon and Kean on the accounts without spending anything to manipulate the accounts and make them look better than they are.

The Prem wont come to a decision on our FFP until at least October so we shouldnt worry about FFP punishment for now and even if we did get a transfer ban or points deduction we would appeal etc and the whole process would be dragged out.

on a separate note, i actually trust Thelwell as although he wasnt able to get a ST, there are plenty of reasons for that ie FFP. he has only made one poor signing (Maupay) and seems to actually know what hes doing. He found Mudryk before Chelsea and Arsenal who is clearly talented otherwise the other Iranian owner in the prem wouldnt have spent 100 million on him. Kev also found Kudus who should really be ours but Ajax are little pricks so he isnt and he will be going to to a champions league club ie Arsenal or United etc. In Kev we trust…

Decent post.

I do think we’ll see some improvement this summer. We’re about to shift a sizeable chunk of our wages off with the expiration of a number of contracts.

Would like us to sign Gyokores.

And if we can offload Keane, Holgate, Davies, Maupay

Then bring in
Another left back
A centre half
A ball-playing midfielder
And a wide player who can create/go past players.

And adopt Brighton's way of working and bring in unheard of players and make them world beaters.

We can all live in hope.

Gnonto - if we could get him for £15-20m Leeds will have made great profit on a kid that has 'only' scored 2 and made 4 assists. At 19 he seems to suit the PL straight off the bat and has decent upside that would make him low risk.

I would look at ward prowse as I think we need a set peice taker. And Walker peters who can play both left and right back.

I would also take a gamble on traore from wolves. I know his final ball is usually rubbish but he will win you a few games a season with his pace.

Richarlson on loan but that would be a difficult one.
