Sure if you out of contract end of season the club have to tell player in advance their contract not being renewed, usually around Easter?

Shame, as I thought we had a great up and coming player when he first hit the scene... especially after that City goal.

He needs to move one, maybe a season or so late.

Woukd be really happy to see if he does live up to his previous potential

I mean from my knowledge, usually they know what they’re doing, and will have a club lined up.

Davies in particular had Rangers sniffing round because they could pre-contract him.

I guess for this scenario, we may have kept him for championship but not for the PL?
 
Frankly I'll be very honest about it. The lad has had literally 1 good and memorable game in nearly 200 games over 8 seasons. He was made a millionaire many times over at the club and hadn't seemed arsed in years. If he wasn't someone that came through the academy he'd be lucky to be getting a game for Crawley Town at the minute and if he wasn't "cool" people would've rightly called him out as a waste of a squad space for years.

Tom Davies should be an inspiration to any football fan because he truly proved no matter your ability, passion, athleticism or willingness to improve, you can be a footballer, as Tom lacked all those characteristics. There's a reason why at 24 years of age the only ones taking some sort of punt on him are a lower mid table Championship club. He'll be in League One by the time he's 27, if not lower. I genuinely think he might retire well before he's 30 because he couldn't be arsed.

Nah not having that, loads of people over even the last 2 seasons have been calling for him to play more, as if we didn't have 6 years of proof beforehand of how poor he is.

Same thing happens with Iwobi and Keane. Both have 2 good games or an ok month and all of sudden all these shouts of "Iwobinho" and "Big Mick Kegger" come out, as a fanbase we're so forgiving on poor players if they put the bare minimum effort in once in a while. The only time it's been a meme was people calling Niasse The Prince and even then I'm sure there were probably at least 10% of the lunatics that meant it. The biggest one for me though was Steven Naismith, utterly shocking player when he was here but he ran around a bit so people loved him, that's when we were decent too, had top class players the likes of Stones, Coleman, Baines, Barry and Lukaku and more then you had Naismith stinking the place out and people adored him because he'd chase after a pass he misplaced.

Madness in my opinion.

About 4 people on here like any of Davies, Iwobi or Keane and they're all mental/wumming.

The rest is taking the piss really.
