The Everton Board Thread

I think we could be in a world of financial trouble in the coming years, whoever is in charge.
That’s why I’ve come around to the thought of being run by a private equity firm. They specialise in turning around the fortunes of failing businesses. We will be run tightly with strict financial controls and the emphasis on youth development rather than buying in - won’t be pretty and will take years but I think this is the only way.

Brace yourselves

Even Rangers came back.
Let's not be so fearful. This won't last forever.
Celtic and Rangers have the monopoly in a league and football pyramid they both dominate. It was inevitable they'd come right back to the very top given time.

We, on the other hand, are way from the top of the pyramid, so there is no guarantee we'll get back up; financially, it'll cost a lot more than it would to get in the SPL.

Financially, it's going to be a very rough ride, which many may not realise or are choosing to ignore. The EFL has more stringent financial rules than the PL!

Dont stress man.
5 games to go.
Nothing decided from the FFP investigation.
Other teams also being looked into.
New stadium incoming.
Deadwood outgoing.

Best of all - we are Everton.
No fans like ours.

We've had every bit of sh!t thrown at us since the 80's. Still here. In numbers.

We can overcome anything else that we have to deal with.

I like this!

Well said.

Hard though!

Why are some taking pot shots at the fans groups who have done their best to affect change and want us to do better?

We have to pick our targets - moshiri ain’t going anywhere whilst the new stadium is unfinished, so we rightly target the rest of the leeches and hangers on in the shape of chairman bill and the board of directors, who should have been potted right after headlock gate broke.

The reasoning is sound - the biggest change and benefit short teams we can get is getting these scumbags out of positions of power at Everton and putting competent, football business people in there place.

This doesn’t mean moshiri isn’t on the list or will get off Scott free - his time will also come, but for now the strategy of targeting the board and chairman is the correct one.

It’s a disgrace that some are blaming the disconnect, disharmony & discord between the fans and club solely on the fans groups - it’s kenwright apologist talk.

The only people creating disharmony currently at the club is the owner, chairman and directors and it’s poor form to insinuate otherwise.

Support the team(and fans); sack the board.

Great statement this. Pressure continuing to mount on Kenwright..

When the fans' mouthpiece, which has been carefully chosen and shaped in a way to protect the board, is asking for Bill's head... it's time to go.

I said weeks ago that there would be changes, and maybe this is another piece of jig-saw coming into play to exert pressure on the chairman to leave.

Interesting timing.

Already going and trying to save face perhaps?
It depends on who is trying to save face. Are the FAB trying to save face, or are those within the board attempting to manipulate his departure from the club?

I have an inkling it's the latter. Any form of investment into the club will require additional seats on the board, and it'll be at the expense of some already sitting.
