it will be us, this time there will be no escape.

we are incapable of scoring goals. Leeds can at least do that. I see no wins, and tbh i'd be surprised if we get anything from any of the remaining games. We are a shambles of a football club, from top to bottom. The manager can only do so much, there is no heart in this team. No desire, they will all go off and play elsewhere and not give two hoots about The School of Science.

Mr Kendall / Mr Catterick and the like must be turning in their graves, at the mess we are in. It doesn't stop here, next season we wont be able to improve much as we simply don't have the financial ability.

Call it bedwetting if you want, but thats my honest opinion. The sooner you accept this, the easier it is.

More than happy to be proven wrong, but at this time, i see nothing in this football club to change my mind.

See you in the championship.

My guess is that after Tuesday's match Leicester will be three matches into the Smith regime with 1 win and 2 losses. We'll have a game in hand and worse GD.

If they draw that game then we can leapfrog them both with a win on Thursday...and the next three games offers us a real opportunity to get on top of one or both of them.

A Leicester victory places Leeds into a world of pain. They'd possibly hit the panic button and sack the manager. If they did they'd go with a caretaker as no sane manager of any quality would touch them.

My head tells me Leeds beat Leicester, then Leicester turn us over in turn.
Then all they need to do is match our results essentially to remain the league.

I actually fancy us to beat Leicester...as we have on the last two occasions down there against much better Leicester teams. In fact, we've won 4 of our last 6 games at their ground.

Horses for courses.

I didn't need anti-depressants but I love the attempt to have a pop at Villa :) The pain of circling the plug hole for a few years in the PL was more painful than the Championship. I actually enjoyed the Championship; more games, mid-week games, very easy to watch games on iFollow, and the feeling of going into a game expecting to win and then actually winning games. There is a lot to enjoy in the Championship. The downside of the Championship is the financial impact on the club. We came within a day or so of entering administration and were sold just in time. But that is to be expected as Villa was probably at its lowest valuation and a smart investor was able to pick it up on the cheap. Some fans may not like going down as they are embarrassed to be playing in a lower league and they can't hack the slagging from fans of rival teams in the PL. But I just look at those fans that like to try and slag off my team for playing in a lower with pity that they haven't quite managed to gain a level of maturity like most adults.

Could be just as much leeds and Everton going. By 10 o clock on thursday it could have swung so much in either direction. I want southampton to fck off for good but i also want to keep bournemouth in striking distance for a last day Alamo(probably bottle that anyway)

But yeah we are so poor if it came to the last day in our own hands at Goodison i might take that.
 
It's bleak

No denying that

We've just got to back the team and pray for a miracle

As supporters there's little else we can really do in the short term

Long term I think we all know what needs doing regarding the governance of this football club, but in the short term we can only do our part to drag these players over the line

We might not be able to, but we owe it to ourselves to try, because ultimately we're going to be the one constant

Players will leave/retire, mangers will leave, and one blissful day even this board will leave, but we will remain, so let's yell our lungs out and try and get a reaction from these players!
 
I'm hoping that getting back to something approaching a full strength team will see an uptick in performances. I didn't think we looked too bad with the likes of Onana, Doucs, and Coleman in the team, not great, but not bad either.

Our last game wasnt a good performance against a form team away from home?

We got a point that could easily have been three.

The losing streak was stopped and we now face 6 cup finals with players coming back.

Mate we've won 1 away game this season, against the worst team in the league.

I don't fancy us to ever win away from home, our away form has been rancid for years ( covid season aside )

We HAVE to win at least one of our away games though and you'd say Leicester is the most winnable given the table

Well, I hope we never have to experience it.

It's different for us. No one posting on here has ever seen our club in the second tier. Almost 70 years unbroken top flight status.

That wasn't the case for Villa fans.

Only Arsenal fans if they were relegation threatened could understand this current turmoil we wrestle with.
