Geordies are basically the film which introduced us to @4737carlin

Slates us: Anthony Gordon had also just escaped an absolute joke of a club and fanbase, so extra reasons to go the slowly slowly approach and get him fully integrated before playing regularly.

Then slates his own fans:
However, it is the way some Newcastle fans have gone on, that I find embarrassing.

Some of them joining in with the media and wanting to write Anthony Gordon off already.

Even worse, I get the definite impression that some NUFC fans actually WANT Gordon to fail,, to justify their negative opinion of him from the days when he was winding us up when at Everton.

lol

lol at this:

"the fickle Everton fans only months earlier had been outraged at the possibly of losing this great homegrown talent for £60m to Chelsea"

I am PRETTY sure 99.9% of us were saying we'd drive him to kin Chelsea for £40m, never mind £60m. lol

Funny thing was the offer was never that high from Chelsea and there were a lot of add ons involved.

What I find interesting reading that article is that you could delete player and club name and it could be any fan from any club and actually is more an indictment of football in the digital age than anything else.

What I mean by that is the perceived media agenda against the club, labelling other clubs fans as 'joke of a fanbase', and criticising sections of own fanbase which have a different opinion. As a regular forum reader this could absolutely have been written for GOT, or I am sure any other fan forum.

Not really anything to do with Gordon but just struck me reading that.

Some of their players who look unreal, almost world class this season were absolute nobodies last year. You're not telling me that's all down to Eddie Howe.

Their spine and back 4 are all top 6 at a push in terms of reliability and quality with a great balance. Forward line of Isak and Wilson is a £100mill and get goals.

Because they have balance and solid foundations, getting pace and flair around ot, allowing them to be free, it'll do well.

He's also got their fitness up their with the top of the league...which has always baffled me for years with us where we've never had a squad with premiership level fitness since Moyes left.

Nothing to do with the fella in the dressing room with the sword?
