Anyone see that series about Raoul Moat that started yesterday? Missed last nights
Yes, it’s surprisingly good for ITV.

Ah cool, I'm just right now watching Blue Light after you mentioned it, on ep 3Yes, it’s surprisingly good for ITV.
The patrol car cop near the end was particularly dumb.... Basically said himself he wasn't the brightestWatched the Boston Marathon bombing documentary on Netflix. Do documentary makers have an agenda, or are all American law enforcement agencies basically idiots?
Really looking forward to the finale this week - you need to catch up.4 Episodes in and really liking it. I'm the same on Shaw. There is certainly something there to look at. Reckon a full Titan series with him and Seven could have potential.
Didn't mind the first 2 series, but this is light-years ahead. Wouldn't mind though if this is truly the end of the line for Picard shows.
Worth a watch then?? Will check it out once I'm back in my own houseSeverance. Brilliant.
Its whacky, but the discomfort and mystery it constantly heaps on you makes it a really thrilling piece of entertainment. You can't help but get emotionally invested in the characters. Really would recommend it.Worth a watch then?? Will check it out once I'm back in my own house
So I rewatched the Watchman tv show last week for the first time since I saw it on its release and my views haven't altered. I think I've doubled down on them if anything. Its an objectively entertaining show with some really good acting and very interesting plots but only if you have no prior knowledge of the Watchman universe and/or are able to mentally separate the show from the source material its based on. I do and I wasn't. So the show left me frustrated beyond belief. I just can't get past the stupidity of having Sally Jupiter take her rapist "farthers" name. What on earth where they thinking?! I just hate it. It was a horrendous decision imo. I also didn't like that they had Rorschach become the figurehead of the far-right/neo-nazi movement because it ignores one very major problem. He was telling the truth! You can dislike the character (you're ment to, he's not a likeable person) all you want but having a character that died heroically in the pursuit of truth become the figurehead of a nazi group (thus tieing them with the truth) is so bloody moronic.
7/10 if you know nothing about Watchman
0/10 if you do
So, I rewatched Lindelof's Watchman show and it really doesn't hold up on second viewing at all. I mean, Rorschach's journal being co-opted by white nationalists is fine until you realise that flawed as the character was, he was also trying to tell the truth and that tying the truth (that the "heroes" were trying to hide) to alt-right apologism is a really messed up thing to do. Plus he just flat out ignored Dr. M being a sex pest and brushed off the genocide he committed. Oh yeah and he totally disrespected Laurie Juspeczyk's character and her journey in the comic by making her take the name of her rapist father. Its just badly thought out. There's one or two decent episodes in there and some good ideas but overall its just such a massive failure.
@Nymzee wow, I'd entirely forgotten that I'd about that. I honestly don't even remember watching it a second time prior to last week! I My memory really is failing me! Quality vaulting!![]()
