Looks a "little" better than when Dyche took over & with momentum we should look a fair bit safer.
But the reality still is if the 4 magic up 3 points from their games in hand we would be 2nd bottom.

Really can't take our foot off the gas until we are completely safe , this is still way to close for comfort.

That much is true, but given their records, all 4 winning seems highly unlikely.

We just need to keep picking up points. Give me points over games in hand, especially at the bottom of the league.

Any new manager spurs might be getting will need time to make an impact, more so if its pochetino, completely opposite style to conte.
I think the only impact a manager/caretaker needs to make at spurs is take the leashes off that Conte's had them tied up with.
This is probably gonna be the worst time to play them.

Spurs won't go on an extended poor run though, they can do enough to finish 4th-6th and play within themselves. That's also their biggest problem in a way. They've been sucked in by the Big 6 thing and the attention they get, individually and collectively they can never seem to make the extra push. I'm expecting a very difficult game.

Don’t really understand some of the conte/spurs shouts to be honest. They’re hardly having a disastrous season, or even a bad run. People seem to be talking about it as if they’re being managed by Tim sherwood and anyone vaguely competent will get more out of them, I’m not sure why. I think we have a chance to beat them regardless of who’s in charge though, and it would be a massive step in the right direction if we do.

I think that’s more than a little better to be honest , we’re still bang in trouble but that’s looking significantly better .

I really think we need to take points off Spurs and the Mancs. If others around us pick up wins the weekend before we could be bottom 3 again.
My concern is these games are during Ramadan. When the muslims fast. All 2 of our midfielders will be fasting during these 2 games!

How many Muslim players do our relegation rivals have and do you think this will also impact them or just us mate?

It’s nice to see that every conceivable angle which could influence our performance is being explored by posters when pondering our relegation fight. Good stuff indeed ;)

no idea to be fair. I just think our entire midfleld beinf effected is not going to help. It is what it is but I read the Doucs interview on BBC and just got me thinking.
Me too.

I've read various articles and it seems there's an agreement along the lines of this conclusion in one of the papers:

'For the soccer specific skills and test with ball, most studies reported that there was no significant negative effects of the fasting month on performance when the training load was maintained or slightly reduced during the Ramadan. Conclusions: The continuance of training during Ramadan fasting, with maintained training load, has no negative effects on short-term maximal performances and soccer specific skills and test with ball. However, performances of the 30-s Wingate test, the RSE tasks, and the long-duration incremental and non-incremental exercises were significantly impaired during Ramadan fasting even when the training load was maintained.'

As others have said, we're not the only PL club with fasting players. However, we are particulalry vulnerable to ill-effects from this fasting because our entire CM are doing this.

It's a concern for me. There's no use burying our heads in the sand over it, but I suppose it's also true to say that maybe it's one fixture in the 4 we have while Ramadan is on that appears to place our players in a particularly vulnerable position: the Spurs game which KO at 8pm and finishes at 10pm. Imagine getting through that game having not eaten after midnight or drank since sunrise at about 6am.

I would expect this to effect not only physical ability but mental concentration. Again appreciate other teams effected. But for me as it was our current entire midfield it made me think!
