New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

No, but I can see some of them putting on stuff on match days. There's money to be made at the end of the day.

Meraki did an event for the kopites the other year when they got to the champions League final, so there's a precedent there.
Ahhh, not going there then haha.

Yeah. If I owned them I would already be thinking about what I need to do on March days to get more punters in.

I.e, big outdoor space,
Good ale
Big screen outside (black horse style)
Decent prices
A big bar with plenty of staff on

These places aren’t really pubs or bars though are they? Not for football fans anyway. These are quite indie places where people go to listen to music. It’s not a place like a whethers, Winslow of Spellow.

They'll all cater to us on match days, would be throwing away much needed money otherwise, though I imagine the Titanic might close to the public and become guests only on match days, especially if visiting teams are staying there. Theres no real pubs there but they'll all be glad of 50k+ Evertonians on there doorstep every other weekend.

Theres only the Bramley Moore Pub and the Royal Crest Hotel down the the other end of the road atm, they wont be able to handle that many people, think most will choose drinking at the stadium over those, imagine more pubs/bars will eventually pop up that end, but there won't be much trade for them outside of match days for a while.

A big consideration for anyone opening a pub/bar near a stadium not in a busy area now has to be the fact that 3pm kick offs are so rare. That’s the prime money making spot in terms of drinking before and after a game. Does anyone know how many 3pm kickoffs we’ve had this season? I could check but I’m lazy

7.
And a 5.30 on a Saturday.

And another 3 to go, subject to change.

The investment is for the club not the stadium, Moshiri is still funding the majority of the stadium, the rest will come from sponsors
My understanding was that the investment would reduce our debts, thus allowing the club to take out a lower interest rate loan of £350m to complete the stadium. As things stand, it seems nobody will give us a loan due to our large debts. Obviously, the loan would be paid off over time by sponsorship and matchday income.
