Of all our managers he was definitely the most stitched up. We had just blown so much money on a disjointed squad under Koeman and then Silva started to make us look like a proper team again.
Then that summer we sold Gana who was our most important player and thought it was fine to replace him with Gbamin. It was not, Gbamin broke down and he was stuck having to choose midfields with Sigurdsson, Gomes or Davies as pairings whilst the rest of the league started to play high energy midfields that Gana was perfect at nullifying
