The plan is pretty much dependent on keeping it tight and nicking the first goal, and to be fair it’s worked twice out of four, was the width of the post from at least having a chance to work at Anfield, and probably should’ve worked yesterday if we’d taken one of a number of good chances. For what we have it’s the right plan and if it continues to work 50% of the time we’re fine.
50% of the time, it works every time!

I am in a strange place with this team. I root for them every game and hope they find a way to survive. But at the same time, I worry that survival will just keep the same ownership and management in place and put the team right back in the relegation fight next year. Going down might be the only way to really cause the top to bottom changes the team needs in the long term.

Really struggling to see what people see as the best case outcome with this scenario?

I think we are joint second from bottom with Elche of La Liga and Cremonese of Serie A for least goals scored in Europe's top 5 leagues.......

Sampdoria have only 11 and I THINK they are bottom.

Lose the next two & we can finally say an early goodbye to our Premuer League status.
I honestly think we’d bum half these sides in the championship 4-0 on a regular basis

Swansea
Rotherham

Lol

We’d be breaking all the records in the championship

There will be a statue of ellis simms next to Dixie dean after he surpasses 60 league goals

The league is full of teams of absolute dross mate (us included), that’s why mid table isn’t fantasy land. Don’t believe the hype of the prems “best league in the world” claptrap.

A bit of organisation, workrate and effort (Dyche has brought these so far) and a decent striking option (the board have killed us there) and you’re right up there with this squad.

I’d say it is comfortably the best league in the world and the large majority of sides are pretty good.

We don't seem very consistent enough. I would love us to stay up, don't get me wrong but we need to play loads better than what we are at the moment.
we're not being torn apart tho.
Tarkowskis effort goes in and that game against them lot is totally different.
Same with the shot cleared off the line against villa.
We were better than Arsenal, Leeds, and Villa.
It's the lack of goals that will do us in, not the standard we're playing at.

Yeah, whatever you do on a pitch, whether you play the most attractive 'Beautiful Game' football on a weekly basis in world football, or a 'Dogs of war' Approach. it all basically comes down to nothing and eventually the same outcome if you can't put the ball in the back of the net...

.... and we're not playing anywhere near enough in front of goal to do that and that is to score.

We are losing games that are winnable to get the points needed, with Villa one of those.

Fear we are going this season you can only cheat the drop so many times when your club is run like a circus and the owner and board do everything they can to hamstrung us with their utter incompetence and delusion. Our only hope is Dyche can scrape some results and pull out some unexpected wins and Dom comes back and fires but it's getting slimmer odds by the game. The Forest and Brentford games could be pivotal we need reults in those two.
