4 home wins and an away win + 1/2 draws should be enough....or 3 home wins and 2 away wins and a couple of draws...or 4 wins in total and 5 draws.

The thing to remember is that all other teams right up to the 14th position have their trials and tribulations of various types to sort out, and that not one of them can breathe any easier than Everton.

I think we've reached a good level of performance and we've been rewarded with it by taking 2 wins from 4 games. If we keep that up we're defo safe. We might not have the big goal scorer, but we're playing in a way that we've worked around that and are creating a lot of chances and we just need to get our noses in front in matches to take all 3 points.
That leaves room for only 5 more defeats out of 14 left
What worries me is there could easily be 10+ more defeats

We're in unchartered waters with this manager and the way he sets up. If we still had Lampard with this lot I'd despair.

Also, my calculations there above are based on the need for 38 points. Personally, I dont think it'll be that high. Maybe a point or 2 less.

Arsenal is a free hit - see what we can do but doubt we do the double over them. Take a point all day now.

We have to sort the away form out, it’s scandalous tbh and I don’t think draws going forward will cut it. There are opportunities for us to win away games coming up, the players need to get a grip.

Forest, Leeds and Leicester should hopefully also drop points til seasons end - hope one of them (or another currently mid table team) drops like a rock, but we need to do our part and sorting the away from is key.

The Forest and Chelsea upcoming aways are huge, as is Brentford at home.

The January window has the potential to be terminal whilst DCL continues to be decisive, for all the wrong reasons.

Sake the board and sell up moshiri.

Need to win that and Bretford for me, to give us a decent little chance, with the 3 games after that been away to Chelsea and Man Utd with Spurs home in-between,

Brentford is such a difficult game, that's just not a 3 point given either is it.

We are in a proper mess and I really don't see us getting out of it. I just don't see where the goals are coming from. He'd be better going 442, get Gray playing just behind Simm as the front 2 as St least we know Gray has the odd goal in him.

I'd even put Patterson in front of Coleman and bin Iwobi off, he's just offering nothing of what we need.

We'll be running out of games soon and we know this squad aren't good when the pressure is really on

I don't see it tbh, they are very fit and very direct and Toney is far too much for Coady and Tarkowski I would defo bring Mina back for that game. As for the goals, yes we are screwed on that front tbh. I think the only way around it is to go proper Pep style and have all the forward/attacking players spending time every day working on shooting drills and repeating those drills until they visibly improve, even if it's only a small margin. It will drive the players nuts I'm sure but we have nothing left as Dyche is rigid on his formation and tbh I don't think he is tactically 'cute' enough to come up with some radical solution to the situation either.

Practical, balanced and well thought out positivity! couldn't agree more.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but with the Dyche appointment we should have kept hold of Rondon, yes he was poor but the way we play under the new boss I could have seen him slotting even maybe two/three goals before the end of the season which could have tipped the balance our way .

Was hoping the bookie botherer would have been banned by now - not sure what’s took the fa and the prem league so long to get that all done.

Yep I was no fan of Rondon but it was ridiculous to release him when we did - it's not like he was the biggest wage drain in a club that excels in pissing money up the wall. If we'd brought in a couple of strikers then by all means let him go, but as poor as he was he'd still be the preferred option in our current mess, and as you say probably would have got a couple as goals. I think he would have been an OK fit for Dyche's style; it's hard to think of a less Dyche-like forward than Maupay.
