Stop with this prattish polemicry

It's an entirely reasonable opinion to hold right now that we are in the worst 3 teams in the league and a cert to go down. Might end up being wrong, but so it is for anybody's opinion on the outcome right now
No, it's not.

That's what a large number of people here are very happy to accept happening. Some of them have reasoned that it'll act as a rebirth for us.

They are completely out of whack with the way any supporter should be thinking - especially as we are 3 points off 14th spot.

We're right in it. There is no way of avoiding that conclusion.

But our performances in 3 of the 4 games Dyche has been in charge have been very competitive and we're carving out opportunities.

If we keep doing that we'll be a very hard proposition for the others down there to keep in a relegation spot.

City currently doing a wonderful job of dismantling their goal difference, which is handy.

Bournemouth and S'ton are both absolutely nailed on to go down.

I separate Everton from them because we've clearly turned it around under Dyche and should have won 3 of the last 4 games.

I'm afraid I'm looking at the Championship table and assuming Burnley and Sheff utd are going up and thinking who of the other lot would I prefer to go up

Well that prediction list of mine started well. So now I'm looking for 3 points from either Palace or Brighton, but that'll be leaving it so late!
Supposing we need 18 points from 15 games, to be really sure. I'm looking for 4 wins, 6 draws and 5 losses, here goes:

(According to my optimistic-pessimistic hope-killing predictions, one route to safety requires 3 Away wins, and draws against teams like Newcastle, Fulham and Brentford who are playing well often. This is tough! This prediction also means we'd need 8 points from the last 5 games - also hard!
Anyway we look at this, it's going to be a really difficult ask, and will need the bottom teams to get less than 35 points in the end, and a lower threshold to avoid relegation.)
What do you think?

Vills (H) - 3 pts
Arsenal (A) - 0
Forest (A) - 3
Brentford (H) - 1
Chelsea (A) - 0
Spurs (H) - 0
Man U (A) - 0
Fulham (H) - 1
Palace (A) - 1
Newcastle (H) - 1
Leicester (A) - 3
Brighton (A) - 1
Man City (H) - 0
Wolves (A) - 3
Bournemouth (H) - 1

Bournemouth taking a bumming currently.
Good. The last thing we need is going behind the likes of Bournemouth. In reality any team up to and including Palace could easily drop down into the relegation places. The thing that worries me is how many opportunities are being missed when we're on top. If we do go down, and it's due to a lack of goals scored, then selling Richarlison and not replacing him when DCL is a fit as fiddle made of chipboard and six inch nails is going to be remembered for a long time and I will happily join the sack the board movement. What chance do we have with a board so spineless they won't show up and face the music?

So many people throwing in the towel already, there was laways going to be twists and turns to go yet.

Enough positive signs to be thinking we are going to be OK.
