Why? We already have 4 centrebacks not fit for purpose, no point adding to that.

Why no both? He's had some off-form games but he looks like a massive influence in the dressing room with morale and I'd say a good mentor to Branthwaite.

I think it’s hard to reconcile him being a massive influence with the performances and results we’ve had since he came though, surely? I can believe that he might be popular, or that people might listen to him or whatever, but whatever he’s influencing at the moment isn’t doing us an awful lot of good.

It's starting to become questionable that we'll make this permanent. Just feels like a waste based on the defenders we'll already have at the club.

I'd be wholly shocked if one player can inspire players as bad as ours to do something good.

Yeah I don’t dispute that, but that obviously impacts on whether his supposed influence is actually worth having doesn’t it? What’s the point in having a ‘big character in the dressing room’ if it makes no difference to results?

Well I mean we don't know if the results would be even worse without him so pretty moot to speculate on that part.
