Out of 37 meetings since the PL begin (I think this includes 3 FA cup games by my tally, maybe four).

3 wins. (2-1 1995, 1-0 1999, 2-0 2021)
15 draws.
19 losses.

Bare in mind how many of those draws were Moyes' resignation attitude as well (This is a fact, as shown by him still yet to win away at a top club still happening at multiple clubs years on).

more than half the time we lose at anfield, the vast majority, not always being a cowardly performance. So the 'usual' is we get beat, all be it by a fine percentage.

Nobody is being unfair assuming we will do the 'usual' rollover. Over my 26 years of going the match, not just the results, but the performances at anfield have been absolutely cowardly for the most part.
'
I respect your positivity and optimism @Jeff Jones but history tells us more than likely we will get beat.

Whether 2021 will change the attitude or mentality of the club, is another question though.
I'm not going to analise the points you've made but I stick to my point that 3 wins and 15 draws out of 37 isn't all
that bad, And besides, it's11.00pm here in Melbourne and the match is on telly and kicks off at 7.00am and I'm going to bed.

Spinning it the other way you could say that Liverpool only win 50% of their home games against us. Considering how good they’ve been in that time, I’d wager this is a far lower percentage than they’d have against most non top 6 sides in the PL who they regularly beat season in season out.

When you add in a decent record of not losing at Goodison as well, we clearly cause them more of a problem than a lot of other PL teams do. We just get hung up on the win stat because it’s so low.

Ultimately if the ball had bounced differently in a lot of those games we’d have both lost and won a lot more. The Coady marginal offside, the Davies shot onto the post, DCL blazing over from point blank range under Allardyce. We could have won all those games, equally we could have lost quite a few as well where Pickford or a defender had made a point saving block or that Mane offside under Ancelotti.

It would be nice to win more of course but they don’t lose many at Anfield to anyone. Both teams tend to accept draws in these fixtures as well (not just Everton). Countless times we’ve been hanging on for a draw and they’ve not committed players forward because they’ve not wanted to risk a counter.

I dont think it's good pal. And it's the manner of the defeats and performances as well.

As I said, I admire your optimism, I just get pretend history doesnt tell us what is likely to be in store.

Have a good kip!

Disgraceful that, uncalled for and unnecessary.

Is that kopite ?️end still the chief constable? Prob his work, the whopper.

Thing is, the murderers chant does get sung, im not sure how much in recent year or two, but when I've been aways they have.

The always the victim is not to do with either. To do with their "about me" attitude with things that have nothing to do with them.

Genuinely not sure what the purpose of this tweet is apart from to inflame the situation. The liverpool account should be focussed towards liverpool fans should it not?

Let's see, the "murderers" chant has nothing to do with Hillsborough, it has to do with Heysel. And the "always the victim" is literally every single match every single week. Never known a set of supporters thinking they are the victim regardless of what happens.

First time since our win at theirs I'll be able to watch this, I'm going to try and recreate everything to the last detail which hopefully should help towards an unexpected victory.

Wife is out too, so lots of shouting!

Would definitely take a point as without Dom I just don’t see the ball sticking, it’ll likely keep coming right back at us. Need a huge game from the midfield 3. A run from Onana or Doucoure could be the difference tonight in us bagging or not.

The realist in me says they’ll spank us as usual, but if it’s 0-0 after an hour and our midfield are getting the better of theirs, I can see their fans heads going which will play right into our hands.

Just read Thiago is out, that’s a huge help.
