There is no good time to play a derby at their place
Well, I hate having to labour the point, excuse the pun, but we usually do get a point at their place.Spirited 3-0 defeat.
Usually i feel sick on Derby day.
Now Everton have Everton'd me to the max im just not arsed.
I think the 3 pts against Arsenal sort of helped as well, going into that knowing its 2 likely losses and suddenly have 3 pts extra than expected.
Snatch anyones hand off for a point as it stands but i expect the usual roll over.
This is what I mean. We've drawn there 12 times in the PL.If we Turn up, have a proper go at them, work hard and get stuck in as we did against arsenal, there will be no complaints from me. Our luck have to turn at some point soon.
Hoping they have to lock us in to keep the rabid mongrels from attacking us after a majestic Everton victory.
Just please don’t do the usual surrender Everton - let the ref and VAR do their worst, we need to be at our best.
Kudos to all blues venturing over the park tonight - you deserve the victory and more!
COYB! UTFT!
Well, I hate having to labour the point, excuse the pun, but we usually do get a point at their place.
I think whoever is in charge of the game tonight on the field and in a studio far away they will be fully aware the eyes of everyone interested in football will be following their actions and decisions like never before after the disgraceful performances of the referees on the field and in the studio over the weekend, and with Howard Webb calling a meeting tomorrow night of every referee and lines persons to discuss the way they have performed in the past with no none to answer to for their poor decisions I expect no biased or incompetent actions tonight that have been allowed to be made for far too long by these officials without any real action taken against them.Andre Marriner on VAR, think I’d rather have stuck with the bloke who couldn’t draw the lines correctly
Out of 37 meetings since the PL begin (I think this includes 3 FA cup games by my tally, maybe four).
3 wins. (2-1 1995, 1-0 1999, 2-0 2021)
15 draws.
19 losses.
Bare in mind how many of those draws were Moyes' resignation attitude as well (This is a fact, as shown by him still yet to win away at a top club still happening at multiple clubs years on).
more than half the time we lose at anfield, the vast majority, not always being a cowardly performance. So the 'usual' is we get beat, all be it by a fine percentage.
Nobody is being unfair assuming we will do the 'usual' rollover. Over my 26 years of going the match, not just the results, but the performances at anfield have been absolutely cowardly for the most part.
'
I respect your positivity and optimism @Jeff Jones but history tells us more than likely we will get beat.
Whether 2021 will change the attitude or mentality of the club, is another question though.
