For bielsa not to have been chosen as our next manager considering he was moshiris shout he must have asked for something ludicrous that the club just couldn't provide. For instance if the suggestion of him taking over u21s is right it's no wonder he's not got the job also if he expected wholesale squad changes with the state of our finances that would be a no starter. The manager coming in will have to work within the existing squad along with maybe a couple of changes in the days left of the window. Strange though bielsa coming over for talks as you would expect both parties to have a good idea of each sides expectations.

….we are in a situation with literally days of the window left. The reality is, whoever comes in has to largely work with what we have.

When Leeds were in free fall last season, Bielsa didn’t have the coaching capacity to arrest the slide. Folk are banking on him immediately introducing a new style to this group of players. I imagine he knows that isn’t likely, but some of are fans and our owner think it is.

If anybody has time, watch Everton v Leeds towards the end of last season & look at how his struggling team play.
That's not really a good representation of his time at Leeds. We had 3 years of excellent football, excellent results and a complete turnaround.
After the 3rd year though, his methods had started to take it's toll on players in terms of both performances and injuries.
Like I said, he would have been a great fit to turn your team around in the summer, but not really the man for the job mid-season. Though I'd have Bielsa over Dyche a million times over to start your season in August.

Bielsas plan there demonstrates exactly why he was never the right man, now.

Pay him/his team £11m to manage the academy. Then have an interim first team manager (who?!) who is binned off in the summer.

Cmon. Fella is a loon.

As a loon do we not think that he would fit in?

No interim manager of the calibre needed to keep us up is going to accept that arrangement, so he’s essentially asking us to just accept the disaster of relegation, and to pay 1 million a month for him and his mates to not lift a finger to help.
